Siphon
Definition: A siphon is a tube used to transfer water from one location to another through the principle of gravity. In aquariums, siphons are commonly used for water changes and substrate cleaning.
Water Changes: A siphon is employed to remove a portion of the aquarium water, simultaneously vacuuming debris from the substrate.
Substrate Cleaning: By using a siphon, detritus and waste are extracted from the substrate, promoting a cleaner and healthier aquarium environment.
