Reverse Osmosis Deionization (RO/DI)

Definition: RO/DI is an enhanced water purification process that combines reverse osmosis with deionization. In addition to removing impurities through the RO membrane, deionization further purifies the water by removing ionized minerals through specialized resins.

Function in the Aquarium: This process produces extremely pure water with minimal contaminants, making it ideal for applications where the highest water quality is required, such as in reef or planted aquariums. If you plan to keep Caridina shrimp then this process is a must!
