Drip Acclimation

Definition: Drip acclimation is a method of slowly introducing new fish or invertebrates to the aquarium by gradually adjusting them to the tank water through a slow drip.

Function in the Aquarium: Drip acclimation helps reduce stress for new arrivals by allowing them to acclimate to differences in water parameters slowly. It helps prevent shock and increases the likelihood of successful introduction.
